Autographs are found in the oddest places and are passed over year after year because the average person does not recognize them for what they are. Autographs are very personal in that the person signing stopped their life, for just a brief moment, to give their fan a piece of themselves. Autographs are not the lazy collector’s hobby.

With almost every item being different, there can be no guide to mark the way as in stamps and coins � the collector is left to find his or her own way, studying dealer offerings or often misleading auction records in lieu of the neat price guides of many fields of collecting. Autographs are a popular collectible and acquiring autographs is both fun and challenging. Historical autographs are not only of great interest to the avid collector, but are worth money.

Authentic in-person signatures can be valuable. If you can?t get one yourself, look for sellers who back up their IP autographs with a respected certificate of authenticity or a money-back guarantee. Authenticity of course, is the major concern of all autograph collectors. Collectors should always be aware of secretarial signatures in the celebrity autographs market. Authentic signed photos of Bela Lugosi are very rare and expensive.

Prices are going to vary widely based on a number of factors, the main one being what is signed. Prices vary depending on the band or singer and that bands popularity but the price you see on the website is the price you pay.

Signatures and miscellaneous signed items. The least expensive type of autograph, signatures can be matted and framed with photographs of the subject. Signatures may be rare, rare, rare! But if other collectors are unwilling to pay much for such autographs, I do not think I should list such signatures. Signatures are very strong in almost every case, those that are not are noted. Some of the pages have a signature on the back, if it is noteworthy I will note it.

Autograph books are also of special interest. Here user can find the autographs of noted writers, artists, scientists, and public figures, books are terrific for parties, launching a new product or special corporate events or historic event. Autograph books are a part of school life and growing up. They were very popular in the nineteenth century, and, although the sentiment remains pretty much the same, some of the entries have changed their style.

Autograph books are hidden, pens are stolen, Dads are picked on. Autograph books are probably passe now, but they could be a repository of family treasures. In fact, autograph books might be something for kids to make at reunions to collect family signatures. Autograph books are also great for a theme party or promoting new products or special events throughout the years.
